Ferris is a humanoid quest giver found just to the east of Tear. He offers a non-repeatable quest chain that rewards players with various items and equipment upon completion, as well as a gold bounty for the scalps of elk and swamp cats.

He is located 3e, 2n, 1e, 1n from the Tear east gate 'Outside a Palisade Gate'

"Ferris stands here, peering into shadows.

Deeply tanned skin frames a slender face constantly adorned by a grandfatherly smile. His once-black hair has faded to light gray, but his piercing blue eyes are still as sharp as when he was a young man."

Ferris grins at you.

Ferris says 'You look like a young adventurer in need of some work. If you want to go on a quest, just "say quest"!'

Ferris says 'If you are relatively new to the world, I suggest you "say tips".'

Ferris nods at you.

Additional Bounties[]

Ferris has two different repeatable bounties, depending on the level of the player.

He will reward the player with three gold crowns per elk scalp from level 10-15.

You give the death scalp of an elk slain in the Hills of Kintara to Ferris.
Ferris says 'Excellent job, <playername>! Here is your bounty.'
Ferris gives you three crowns.


He will give the player five gold crowns for each swamp cat scalp from level 15-20.
